Switch from SMS to WhatsApp to send and receive messages, calls, photos, videos, documents, and Voice Messages. 

View Someone's WhatsApp Status Without Letting them Know :

• Open your WhatsApp Account
• Now Click on the 3 dots that available on Top Right Corner
• A Menu of Options will appear there 
• Then Click on Account → Privacy 
• Now you will able to see a option "Read receipts" as shown in below Image

• Now Turn Off the "Read receipts" option
• That's it now you can see the Others Status without letting them know

Note : Here you will also not able to see who viewed your status.  To solve this read the below method.

To know who viewed your status and see the others status by not letting them know you have to un-check the "Read receipts" option while seeing the status and then check the option after you have seen the status. So, that you will able to see the friends who viewed your status.
