(Update) Whatsapp's Old Text Status Feature is Back & Two More Features

WhatsApp rolled out Snap chat like Status update last month but the feature was not well received by users and many of them requested to bring back the old status update with simple text. It looks like WhatsApp is all set to bring back the old status update. WhatsApp Android beta has received an update that sees revival of the old status message feature.

The WhatsApp Android beta version 2.17.95 now lets you keep simple text and emoji based status messages which will stay as long you want it to stay and not disappear after 24 hours.  You can tap the three dots on top right corner and check out Settings. After you tap on your phone, you will see ‘About and phone number’. The usual set of default status messages are back and you can choose from, including Available, Busy, At work and more.

1st New Feature:

In the latest update, WhatsApp has redesigned Chat screen user interface and moved Attachment button to the bottom side along with camera button. Now, at the bottom, you will have Smiley, Typing box, attachment, camera and voice recorder. Please look at the above screenshot.

2nd New Feature :

WhatsApp has added two buttons separately for audio calls and video calls. These buttons has added at top side for all chat members. Before this update, you had only 1 button for both calls. But now, two has been added there. Please look at the above screenshot.
